How would you like to travel to Disneyland anytime you wanted to? To be able to connect and create friendships with lots of other Disney fans? How would you like to collect exclusive and unique Disney pins, Disney clothing and even furniture without having to spend more than your time? Disney has made this possible with the "Virtual Magic Kingdom" - a great online experience for those that love Disneyland, and want to be able to have some Disney fun while outside of the park.
At the Virtual Magic Kingdom, you can create your own online character - and over time, outfit your character with cool Disney pins, clothing, unique items, and also a "guest room" with posters and other cool stuff. Your character can ride fun virtual rides! Ride on the Jungle Cruise, with a combined game to take pictures of the different animals. Ride the Alice in Wonderland ride, or the Peter Pan Ride. In addition to riding different rides, you can earn credits by playing games such as the Pirates of the Carribean game, or the Haunted Mansion game. You can use the credits to buy special Disney hats, clothes, pants, etc. You can also use the credits to pay for different "VMK" rides. While on the rides, you can earn different pins. Some pins are tradeable (online) and others are "magic" and can make different things happen - such as opening special Pirate Treasure Chests or attempts to pull the Sword In the Stone. Another fun thing that you can do both at VMK and at the actual Disney parks, is to do different "quests" where you can earn virtual (and sometimes actual) prizes. At Disneyland, there is often a booth in Tomorrowland where you can participate in different VMK quests right there in the actual park! If you can't tell, I think this is built really for the young, or at least the young at heart that would like spending time building their character with "virtual" Disney items and experiences. We've enjoyed playing on VMK, and we think we'd like to keep it going in the future. If you love Disneyland, its worth creating a free account on the VirtualMagicKingdom.com system, and at least trying it out. |
