You know the phrase "They're a nice person once you get to know them."? Well, buying food at the park might have a reputation for being an expensive and less than satisfactory affair, but if you'll give it a chance - and read this article - you'll see that there are values to be had, and great tasting food you won't want to miss.
You've carried your camera enough for today, and you're on your way to the lockers located near XXXXX. On the way, you stop in to the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor for a snack. And there you see it - listed on the menu, lower left side: Hot Fudge Sundae. This hot fudge sundae is the best you've ever had - two large scoops of your choice of ice cream, covered in hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, a cherry - and with two soft chewie chocolate chip cookies on the edge. This thing could tide you ever 'til dinner anyday. And at a price of $3.50, it competes with a comparable sundae off-site at Baskin Robbins ($3.29) and Dairy Queen ($2.99). Being a better sundae than either place, the $3.50 price is a huge value. *** |
